Prime Minister Haradinaj: We will cooperate closely with wood processors

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, attended today the Wood Producers' Convention.

Prime Minister Haradinaj initially thanked students who have created different models for the products that will be "Made in Kosova", but also donors, especially USAID, for their contribution to wood processing companies.

Further, Prime Minister Haradinaj congratulated all the producers for their good work and congratulating on the Wood Industry Convention.

Highly praising the tradition of wood processing, Prime Minister Haradinaj said that Kosovo has been prominent in the Balkans throughout the past for this activity.

"I am deeply convinced that there are many Kosovo products and good craftsmen who do good work and who have produced products that really are for the most advanced markets in the world", emphasized the Prime Minister, adding that Kosovo today can compete in any market.
The premier emphasized that the Government will closely cooperate with wood processors and perform its tasks in time to enable them to compete in world markets.

"I express the willingness to be together in our journey, as the country's government," Prime Minister Haradinaj said.

Meanwhile, chairman of the Association of Wood Processors, Hashim Deshishku, said that the wood processing industry is one of the important fields for the Kosovo economy.
"Today we boast with the work of the association, which made it possible for the wood processing industry to be recognized by all stakeholders in Kosovo and abroad. It has led the industry to be big and powerful, always supporting the wood industry, "he said, adding that this sector has proven capable of rapidly developing and adapting to the domestic market trends and external.

Lisa Magno, Deputy Director of the USAID Mission in Kosovo, appreciated the progress made in the wood processing industry in Kosovo, stressing that the government and wood processors should cooperate closely to create new jobs.
