The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, had a meeting with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Ditmir Bushati, with whom he talked about the political developments in Kosovo and Albania.
Initially, Prime Minister Haradinaj informed Minister Bushati about the priorities of the Government of Kosovo, European reform agenda, economic development , empowerment of law and order, fulfillment of SAA obligations, the dialogue between Republic of Kosovo and Serbia and other important issues for country.
Prime Minister Haradinaj on this occasion praised Albania’s role in supporting Kosovo in the state-building process and other important processes for country, saying that cooperation between Kosovo and Albania needs to be further deepened, in the field of economic development, trade exchanges, education, culture, health and other areas of common interest.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Haradinaj seeked support of Albania for the Euro-Atlantic integration path, membership of Kosovo in INTERPOL, and other important regional and international organizations.
“The support that Albania has given to Kosovo at all stages has been important, so we want cooperation between the two countries to continue in the field of economic development. We need to change the economic parameters between ourselves and remove the bureaucratic barriers, said Prime Minister Haradinaj, thanking Minister Bushati for the constructive role of Albania in regional co-operation.
During the meeting they also talked about the agreements reached between the two countries and the level of their implementation, also about the preparations for the joint meeting of the two governments that will be held in November this year in Peja.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Ditmir Bushati, appreciated the progress of Kosovo, congratulating Prime Minister Haradinaj regarding the decision to liberalize visas for the citizens of Kosovo by the European Parliament, at the same time expressed the willingness of the Albanian state to continue to support Kosovo in its Euro-Atlantic path.
