The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, together with the Acting Minister of Finance and Transfers, Mr. Besnik Bislimi, received today the ambassadors of Quint countries, namely the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mr. Philip Kosnett, the Ambassador of Germany, Mr. Christian Heldt, the Ambassador of France, Mrs. Marie-Christine Butel, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Nicholas Abbott, and the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Nicola Orlando, as well as the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Mrs. Natalia Apostolova.
The Acting Prime Minister briefed the ambassadors on the current situation concerning the management and prevention of COVID-19, including recent decisions towards gradual easing of the measures. These decisions are aimed at reopening the economy which, like public health, has been endangered and damaged by the pandemic.
The interlocutors also discussed the current political situation in Kosovo pending the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
The ambassadors expressed the need for stability and democracy in the country.
