The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Administration, Mr. Xhelal Sveçla, Deputy Minister of MPBAP, Mr. Bajram Gecaj and General Director of Kosovo Police, Mr. Rashit Qalaj, visited the Kosovo Institute for Public Administration (KIPA), where they were hosted by the Director General of this Institute, Mrs. Refike Sulçevci, in which occasion they inaugurated the new building.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti praised the importance of this building for KIPA, but also for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in education and training of civil servants, both local and central level institutions, as well as the importance of the public administration reform for Kosovo’s membership to EU.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo/MIAPA and the European Commission Office were the investors of this project. The contract value is EUR 1,681,073.79, whereas its implementation period is three years. The building has a surface area of 3533.43 m2.
In order to meet its mandate, KIPA must train daily at least 150 participants. Other spaces of KIPA will be utilised for organization of trainings in cooperation with projects of donor organizations that are involved in training of civil servants.
