The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Besian Mustafa, and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, received today in a meeting the milk producers, with whom he discussed the challenges this sector is facing during the pandemic, as well as the possibility for the Government of Kosovo to come to their aid.
On this occasion, the representatives of milk producers informed the Prime Minister Hoti about the challenges that this production chain is facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, for their products that are remaining without being placed on the market, at the same time sought the support of Prime Minister Hoti and the Government of Kosovo to overcome this situation.
Prime Minister Hoti said that the Government is ready to assist this sector within the legal and financial capacities.
“The Government of Kosovo is working diligently to support the private sector and local producers and through line ministries will find appropriate paths to face and overcome the challenges faced by our producers, including milk producers”, stressed the Prime Minister Hoti, who requested that the Food and Veterinary Agency increase the field control to ensure a clear separation of products based on fresh milk.
