Prime Minister Hoti promises establishment of Emergency Fund for repairing the damage caused by floods

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Avdullah Hoti, visited today the village of Dobroshec in the Municipality of Drenas, a part of which is blocked, as a result of severe damage caused to the bridge by floods in recent days.

“It is good that we have not had any human victims, this is the most important thing. Major damage has been caused to private property by floods in houses. The KSF has provided an extraordinary assistance in the evacuation and temporary accommodation of some citizens in Gjakova, in particular in Gjakova Airport, but also in other places”, stated Prime Minister Hoti.

He emphasized that in the Situation Centre, which is part of the Office of the Prime Minister, during the last 24 hours they are closely following the serious situation with floods in most municipalities in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Hoti announced the establishment of the Emergency Fund, to repair the damage caused by floods, to help families who have suffered material damage and who live in difficult conditions.

During the visit to the village of Dobroshec in the Municipality of Drenas, Prime Minister Hoti was accompanied by the Minister of Defence, Anton Quni, and the Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci.
