Prime Minister Hoti: We are forever grateful to President Rugova, the Jashari Family and all of those fallen for the independence of the country

Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, together with Acting President, Vjosa Osmani, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General, Rrahman Rama and members of the Government Cabinet, attended the ceremony of raising of the flag by the Ceremonial Guard, in the yard of the Government of Kosovo, in honour of the 17 February – 13th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Kosovo.

Acting Prime Minister Hoti, accompanied by members of the Government Cabinet, in this special day, paid homage and placed wreaths of flowers at the grave of President Rugova.

“Today we honour the founding father of the Republic of Kosovo, the largest 30-year project since the independence of Albania, and the largest project of strengthening the Albanian nation, with declaration of Kosovo as an independent state and part of the Euro-Atlantic family”, stated Prime Minister Hoti.

Furthermore, he stated that the citizens of Kosovo will be forever grateful to President Rugova and those fallen for the independence of the country, while felicitated all citizens without exceptions in this special day of the anniversary of independence.

Prime Minister Hoti also paid homage to the Memorial Complex Adem Jashari in Prekaz, on the 13th anniversary of Independence of Kosovo.

“Together with the mayor of Skenderaj, Bekim Jashari, and members of the Government Cabinet, we honoured those fallen from the Jashari family, and honoured the Jashari family for their most sublime – highest sacrifice anyone could do for the independence of the country. By honouring the Jashari family, we are honouring all those fallen for the freedom and independence of Kosovo” stated Prime Minister Hoti.
