The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti hosted today in a meeting the head of the delegation of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPO) in the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder.
Prime Minister Kurti informed MEP Schieder on his visit to Brussels, as well as about the meetings he had there. He also discussed about the priorities of the new government and beginning of the reform process.
MEP Schieder confirmed the support to government priorities, especially in economic and social reforms, as well as in the fight against corruption.
Prime Minister Kurti and MEP Schieder also discussed about the regional cooperation and the European agenda, appreciating the proactive and advocacy role of the European Parliament in supporting visa liberalization process for Kosovo citizens and inclusion of the Western Balkans in EU efforts to cope with COVID-19 pandemic.
This meeting was also attended by Eva Elleriet, Director of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), with whom they discussed on deepening this successful cooperation.
MEP Schieder and Ms. Elleriet wished success to Prime Minister Kurti in implementing government priorities, which would open the path to country’s European integration.
