The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Avdullah Hoti, was informed by the Situation Control Center that the situation in the municipalities affected by floods recently due to heavy rain and snow precipitations is under control.
A large number of municipalities were affected and suffered material damage, which will be assessed in the coming days. Fortunately, there have been no injuries or casualties.
According to data from the Situation Center, the situation continues to be serious but with a tendency to improve. Engineer teams, the KSF Civilian Operations Company, and Fire and Rescue Team Units are assisting residents in flood-affected areas.
Prime Minister Hoti was informed that even today during the day the interventions of the KSF’s Search and Rescue Units have continued in one location in the municipality of Fushe Kosova and in two locations in the municipality of Vushtrri.
In addition, the Emergency Management Agency has conducted operations to remove water from vital facilities such as the UCCK’ Pulmonology Clinic, the KEK, the Interconnection Substation in Drenas, and the Gynecology Hospital in Caglavica.
