The incumbent government of the Republic of Kosovo, chaired by incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, held its 113th meeting, in which it adopted decisions in the fields of its constitutional and legal responsibilities.
Acting at the request of the Ministry of Finance, the incumbent Government has approved the decision on savings and appropriations among 2019 budget organizations. The decision is based on Article 15 of the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2019. It is compiled on the basis of the savings declared by the budget organizations for the financial year 2019 and is intended to increase the efficiency of budget execution at the conclusion of fiscal year 2019.
The incumbent Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has estimated that the decision will ensure continued support and care especially for the social categories.
Over 31 million Euros saved by budget organizations have been identified and will be distributed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Internal Affairs, University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo and the Health Insurance Fund.
The Government, at its meeting today, has reviewed the Treasury Report on Income and Expenditure for the nine-month period of 2019. The report notes that during this period general revenue has been generated to EUR 1 billion and 676 million, while expenditures amounted to EUR 1 billion and 407 million.
Today’s meeting approved the decision to rebury the Martyrs of the Nation, Afrim Zhitia, Fahri Fazliu, Bahri Fazliu and Agron Rrahmani, at the Martyrs’ Cemetery Complex in Velani.
The government has allocated € 42,000 for the engagement of experts who will work to obtain funding from MCC projects.
